The action started today at noon. 64 players, double elimination down to the last 32 in a short race to six, alternate break.
Most favorites qualified with two straight wins, but some top players still have to earn their spot and come back tomorrow morning. Raj Hundal, Karl Boyes and myself lost in the very first round. Other players such as Mika Immonen, Ronato Alcano or Indonesian star Ricky Yang lost their second match.
And because I can’t decribe my game other than “ugly” I will post some “pretty” shots of the venue instead…

You’re a class act! More players should display the sportsmanship you exhibited in your match against Pin-Yi Ko, when you used your option to give the table back on your opponent’s combo on the 3-7 after the ref called it a foul.
Your action was one of a gentleman and there are many who noticed the honor you displayed. You are one example of what is right with pool.
